Fall in Ohio

This cute scarecrow greeter was photographed in Grand Rapids, Ohio.

We've had a lovely fall here in Ohio! We're almost done with our cleanup and I've been looking through my photos and reflecting back on some of our Ohio visits this fall.

The village of Grand Rapids sits just southwest of Toledo, Oh.  It has a great Applebutter Festival, quaint downtown (shown below) and our dogs love to hike along the Maumee River.

Bellefontaine is home to the Ohio highest elevation (Campbell Hill). We enjoy the scenic beauty and colorful trees there.

We spent a serene morning at Lakeside watching Lake Erie's waves roll in below us.

Lake Lorimee  State Park has a marvelous fall festival with entertainment, camping, and crafts but what I like most are the smells of kettle corn and the tractor and steam engine displays.

We enjoy exploring in the fall and  I am a huge fan of covered bridges like the Roberts.

Harrison Lake State Park was quiet this fall day.

Our most beautiful picnic this year happened a few weeks ago at  Hueston Woods State Park.

This bridge I am standing on in Oak Openings Preserve offers an awesome view of Mallard Lake.

These are only a  few of our  Ohio destinations. We hope you were able to get out and enjoy falls sights and sounds too.
