Pew Island Scenic Trail

Pew Island Scenic Trail is accessible from the causeway. Our favorite trails normally lead to water or offer a view of it.

You can walk the thin gravel path and connect with a boardwalk over the marshy area.

On this day we saw a decent variety of plants and wildlife.

While on Pew Island, we stood and watched a guy cast out a line. It was a little windy and his bobber quickly drifted back towards shore. Even though much of the habitat is dense, there are areas offering a beautiful view of Indian Lake.

The midday sun was beating down upon us as we walked back towards our vehicle. We stopped at the rocks to wipe our sunglasses and snap a photo of the surf coming in. We left this peaceful location and looped back around with  plans to return later this year.
