Lakeside Park and Rose Garden

We love to explore rose gardens and this June we traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana, and spent time at Lakeside Park and Rose Garden.

Lakeside was named a National Rose Garden in 1928 and is home to over 2,000 roses. In addition to roses, there's a marvelous pergola, and retaining wall with a lionhead fountain. A brick pathway surrounds reflection pools in the sunken garden and there is a large fishing pond in the middle of the park Park benches make for a nice place to sit and enjoy the lovely surroundings.
