Our dogs  travel and camp with us.

Buddy

We were traveling on a vacation when we found Buddy. He was 9 months old. He'd underwent surgery. The shelter had neutered and chipped him and had given him all his shots. He didn't bark much and he seemed to like us. We quickly agreed on purchasing him. After being checked out, paying the fees and all, we were allowed to take Buddy home.

The 3 of us were inseparable the rest of our vacation but when we went back to work, Buddy exhibited poor behaviors.  The vet explained to us that this was separation anxiety.  Otherwise, Buddy was healthy.  After 3 months of  little changes in his anxiety levels, we decided to get another dog so he would have a friend to play with when we were away from home.

Monroe

I found Monroe's picture on-line. He was at a shelter in another state. He was covered in matted hair.  Monroe ( name we chose) had to undergo an immediate vet visit to get all his shots, tags and be neutered so it was awhile before he and Buddy got to play together. This photo to the left was taken shortly after we got him .

Monroe  enjoys visiting the nursing home with me and meeting the residents and they like him too. We had Buddy and Monroe for a few years and my husband decided to get another dog.

Motley

Motley is our tuxedo dog . Motley came to us with a terrible ear infection but according to our vet he was otherwise healthy.  Motley had to go through a series of shots and some medications. Today, Motley  is very affectionate. We let his coat grow out and he has the most beautiful  black curls. If you want to know more about my books and illustrations look here.
