Belle Of St Mary's Replica of 1800s Canal Boat

 

Located in St Marys Ohio Memorial Park is the Belle of St Mary's which is a replica of an 1800s canal boat. I was in the area when the official dedication of the boat took place which was on Sunday, September 23, 1990. Years ago I took a tour of it.

 If you are not familiar with the area the Miami and Erie Canal is on the north side and the St. Marys River on the west. 

Ohio has many wonderful parks and this is certainly one of them. The park is dedicated to WWI veterans and presents a great display on Memorial Day. The park sits on 3 acres and includes a grotto, Clock Tower, Veterans Walkway, and a Memorial Covered Bridge.

 Generally, I prefer to take videos on a slightly overcast day, and on this day it rained.
