Natural Bridge Kentucky

It’s December 31st and it’s a chilly and breezy 10 degrees.  I just had the dogs out and there is a white blanket of frost on the ground. When I opened the door the wind nipped at my neck and I had to come back in and put on my scarf. Thankfully, we didn't go far - just down the road to the telephone pole and back.

Now, as I lay here quietly exercising my fingers on my laptop, I listen to the dog's snore and wonder what happened to 2014?  There was work, trips to dog parks and a few brief vacations. There were trips to doctors, babies born to family members and there were some deaths of close friends. I have had some very long days and yet almost before I blink an eye, the year is over.

I must admit that I am not one that takes much stake in making a New Years resolution. But I am getting restless which I take as a sign that I need to revamp my bucket/ simple pleasure list for 2015.

Like many of you, I made a list of places I wanted to experience in my lifetime.  Over the past decades, I've been very blessed!

I'm a Buckeye, temporarily, in the heart of it all. ( I say this as our slogan is about to change.) And  I have decided to begin revamping my bucket list today. My goal is to use my senses, enjoy the moment and feel alive amidst the beauty of nature, closer to home.

Wishing You a Safe and Happy New Years Eve,

Lori
