Iris

Purple is  the classic bearded Iris color. I  took this close -up  of one of ours this morning. I have grown very fond of Iris, not only for the beautiful array of color but also for the lovely scent that they produce.  This Iris sits in a bed surrounded by Verbena, Penstemon, Sedum and Columbine.
