White and cream colored Iris

Perennial Irises are well loved garden plants. 

This white Iris is a transplant that my aunt happily gave to me. 

The first year I planted it, I had beautiful foliage but  no blooms. I mentioned this while at a perennial garden sale and a man selling Iris told me I'd most likely planted it to deep. I returned home and removed some of the soil and the following spring I had not only beautiful foliage but also beautiful  white, sweetly-scented,blooms.

No two Iris are a like. And this one possess a sweeter scent than all the others in my garden.
