Lakeside Rose Garden
We love rose gardens and last week, we traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana and spent an evening at Lakeside Rose Garden.
Lakeside was named a National Rose Garden in 1928 and is home to over 2,000 roses.
Lakeside Rose Garden has been one of my favorite gardens for many years. It's an amazing place to visit when the roses intensify in fragrance in summer's full bloom.
This is a lovely romantic setting. In addition to roses, there's a marvelous pergola, retaining wall with a bronze lions head fountain
the steps lead down to a sunken garden with brick pathway surrounding reflection pools.
There is a walking path along the pond and a nice playground for children to play.
After spending a significant amount of time at Lakeside Rose Garden, 1401 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne IN we returned home with plans to go back later this summer.
