Record Rainfall

June was a record month for rainfall in our area. Many of our rivers & creeks were out of banks and flooding occurred across roadways with many areas flooding that have never had any issues with flooding before. 

There was so much flooding that many roadways did not have high water signs because there were no more signs available to put out.



It became a necessity for  areas to sandbag the front of stores. And some areas had to release water from dams. People were warned of possible evacuations and in some cases people voluntairly evacuated.

But now the rivers are falling.  I was over to visit Mom and we walked around and looked at her flower beds.  Her lily has beautiful deeply saturated golden flowers. Yes, it was a beautiful dry and sunny day. And we would like more dry and sunny days.
