Bellefontaine, Ohio Courthouse
Today, we are under high wind warnings with widespread gusts of 50-55 mph expected. I have a throw wrapped around me and a cup of coffee in hand while watching the video of workers lifting the support system atop the Bellefontaine, Ohio courthouse.
June 29th, 2012, Ohio Valley/ Mid-Atlantic Derecho winds damaged the Bellefontaine courthouse bell tower and countless other buildings. That storm was reported to have traveled 700 miles in 12 hours, killing 22 people.
Yesterday, we drove south to Logan County and were thrilled to see the restored tower intact. The photo I took above, is prior to the lifts that occurred this week
