Earlier this week, my husband surprised me with a trip to the Candy Cane Christmas Shoppe in Archbold, Ohio. The interior was the perfect setting on our warm and wet winters day.
Their trees were decorated nicely and they had a cute winters display of animals gathering around a stream.
I'd been informed that the store had an excellent selection of nativities but as I have one I enjoy, I was most drawn to the collections of Carolers and Dickens Villages.
I also thought this Moose wreath was adorable.
The Shoppe has an Outlet Store nearby with trees 50% off and a $1 items table. I'm told there's an online store too.
Leaving there, we stopped at the Field of Memories Antique Mall where my husband purchased some old albums to add to our growing collection.
and we saw this beautiful rainbow leaving the mall.
Then our next stop was a shop called Pennycrest gifts where we found a little bit of everything. I think they had the largest collection of lanterns I had seen in a while and their floral's were beautiful. We spent time on all 3 floors and ended up purchasing an old glass pedestal fruit bowl from the attic antique section. It will be put to good use on our kitchen table.
Spending much of our afternoon shopping made us hungry and we walked across the street and ate at Mom's Diner before making the drive back to our home.
We'd never been to any of these shops before so it was nice to step back and enjoy the beauty of something new around us this Christmas season.
Happy Holidays everyone!
