Images of Summer's Splendor

It seems this summer is going by quickly but we are thankful for summer's splendor and sunny days spent at the beach. Here's a recent photo of a cloud-filled sky at Indian Lake.

We hiked Pew Island, again. Pew Island's Scenic Trail is accessible from the causeway. You can walk the thin gravel path and connect with a boardwalk over the marshy area as we did here.

We've loved spending time in the charming Swiss Community of  Berne Indiana, this summer. And their clock tower is a must-see.

We hiked at the Hermon Woodlands Metro Park in Elida Ohio. 

The park has a PlayScape where children can play in the fort building and sand enclosure and the highlight is the Storybook Trail. Each one of  20 pedestals displays 2 pages of a children's story with fun activities to do in between stops. 

We celebrated another Independence Day and traveling through St. Mary's, Ohio we saw their beautiful Field Of Flags display.
 

Some of our most peaceful evenings are spent at home. Here's the sunset as seen from our backyard.
