Port Clinton Lighthouse, Waterworks Park
Port Clinton was a shipbuilding port and commercial fishing center.
We love visiting Port Clinton as not only do we get to enjoy Lake Erie but we find the location to be fairly pet-friendly.
Waterworks Park is always a must-stop for us. We enjoy walking the path with the dogs to the restored lighthouse - which is the last remaining wooden pier light on Lake Erie.
Our time spent there is always a pleasurable experience. We generally sit on a bench near the Lighthouse watching the waterfowl. In the afternoon, we make a trip to the Bark Until Dark Dog Park. We come back to Jolly Rogers Seafood and get their Walleye and return to the park in the evening to watch the boats come in to dock.
