Children's Garden

Nestled in a corner of Smiley Park in Van Wert, Ohio is this lovely well-kept Children's Garden. 

I enjoyed spending the day here walking along the path in the Rainbow Garden

The Children's Garden is home to a Gazebo and the Butterfly House along with a Discovery Garden, Dinosaur Garden, Sun Dial Garden, Busy Hands Garden, Melody's Secret Garden, and  Potting Shed.

One of the main purposes of the Children's Garden is to educate users on gardening and nature in order to nurture future gardeners of the community. 

They do this with programs like Sow and Grow, Butterfly Release, Indiana Wild, Wonderful World of Insects, August Harvest, and the Library Box Dedication.

In the winter time, the garden is also dedicated to providing Children with a seasonal Christmas Display of Lights.
