Fountains in the Garden

It is no surprise to my husband that when I go to garage sales I pick up items for the garden. And one of the things that often draws my attention is fountains. 

I love FOUNTAINS!

There is something about the sound of moving water in a garden that makes the environment more calm and lovely.


Today's purchases were this wonderful 2 tiered cement fountain and I also purchased this tabletop model. 

The cast cement fountain makes the perfect addition as a focal point for our Hosta and Lily bed and will surely entice songbirds and frogs to visit and the small tabletop fountain will find a home near our back door. 

If you are purchasing a fountain remember during the frigid winter months the tops should be taken inside to prevent cracking and the bases should be raised up off the ground and basins covered to prevent ice from building and cracking them.
