Hyacinths and Tulips

I love the floral colors that arrive in spring!

When I think of spring, I often think of daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips.

We have daffodils coming up in many of our garden beds.

For Easter, I received some beautiful hyacinths. I also received tulips in shades of purple, orange, and red. I potted them in terra cotta pots and have them sitting in an East window.  They will be planted outside when all danger of frost has passed.

The hyacinths generally appear in early spring and bloom well in our area as do the daffodils and tulips.

If of thy mortal goods thou art bereft,

And from thy slender store two loaves alone to thee are left,

Sell one, and with the dole

Buy hyacinths to feed thy soul.
