Eagle Marsh Nature Preserve in Allen County, Indiana

Eagle Marsh Nature Preserve is an 831-acre wetland nature preserve located on the southwest border of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Trails provide hikers access to the preserve's habitats. 

Today, we attended a Monarch Festival there to learn more about how to help in conserving their habitat. The festival includes a variety of programs and activities and there were displays of live monarchs at different stages of their life cycle, from caterpillars to adults. 

We hiked the interpretive trail and saw Monarchs nectaring and then learned more about the tagging process prior to their release.
