The Langsdon Mineral Collection
Last week, I spent some time looking over one the the most magnificent mineral collections on Earth. The Langsdon Mineral Collection was donated in 2006 by Ron and Ruth Langsdon to Mercer County Library in Celina, Ohio. The collection displays more than 900 minerals from across the world, and each sample is labeled with the mineral type and place of origin. This stunning collection is said to rival those in major institutions such as London's Natural History Museum or the Smithsonian.
