Riverside Park, Findlay Ohio
Riverside Park in Findlay, Ohio, is a beautiful blend of nature and history. Established in 1906, it's the oldest public park in Hancock County, built on the site of the city’s former waterworks. Over the years, it has evolved into a beloved community space. In October, the park transforms into a vibrant fall haven, with its mature trees showcasing stunning hues of red, yellow, and orange. It’s a peaceful escape, perfect for photographers and anyone looking to unwind. The park’s trails—both paved and unpaved—wind along the riverfront, through shaded canopies, and past landmarks like the Waterfalls Pavilion and historic overlooks. For families, the StoryWalk trail brings children's books to life, unfolding page by page along the path. Dogs are welcome on leashes, and ours often enjoy the sights and scents of the park. There’s plenty to do beyond walking, including picnic areas, volleyball and pickleball courts, a public boat launch, and canoe/kayak rentals. The historic band shell adds a special touch to the park’s charm. Whether you're there for a quiet stroll or to meet fellow dog lovers, Riverside Park is a peaceful, scenic retreat for all.
