Heritage Park

Heritage Park, in Lima, Ohio, spans about 81 acres. What’s really cool is that this area was once the site of the last Shawnee Indian reservation in Ohio, so there’s a lot of history here. We find it’s a peaceful spot filled with tall oak and hickory trees, walking trails, and even a beautiful one-acre pond that’s perfect for fishing or just relaxing by the water.

Heritage Park is known for the Rotary Riverwalk, which is a paved trail that follows the Ottawa River. However, my favorite trails in Heritage Park are the raccoon trail #2 and the white tail deer trail #1. When the season is not so dry, the view from the footbridge is beautiful.

On the day I vlogged, there was a little water to my right off the footbridge, and I noticed none to my left.

Heritage Park's pond is always worth visiting. I especially love capturing the reflection of the trees on the water.
