Van Wert County 4-H Exchange Club Holiday Light Show

One of our Holiday traditions is taking a drive through the Van Wert County 4-H Exchange Club Holiday Light Show at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. Every year I find myself reaching for my camera, trying to capture at least a little of the magic as we wind our way past the glowing displays.

It's amazing to think that this beloved tradition has grown into a dazzling holiday experience with more than 170 colorful, animated displays created by local businesses, families, churches, and community organizations. Each one seems to have its own personality, and it's easy to spot the time and care that went into making them. As we drove past the area this night, I heard Christmas music playing in the background. It was one of those simple moments that reminded me why I love the season.
